Cheltenham Festival 2025 tips for the Gold Cup, Ryanair Chase, Champion Hurdle and more

Sports News Blitz are revving up for the roar of the first race at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, and have pulled together some betting tips for all four days of glorious horse racing.

Co Founder Simon Wilkes attended a preview night hosted by Jonathan Doidge of JDZ Events, and went armed with 50 copies of the Racing Ahead magazine which were snapped up by the sold-out crowd of racing punters.

Doidge hosted a panel made up of row-retired Grand National-winning jockey Daryl Jacob (DJ), award-winning Racing Post journalist David Carr (DC) and SkyBet PR manager Michael Shinners (MS).

The three horse racing experts gave their thoughts and tips for the Festival, and we have kindly pulled them altogether (you’re welcome) so you can bash the bookmakers.

Day one - Tuesday, March 11

Race: Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

DC: Kopek Des Bordes is the best horse in the race but comes with risk.

Tips: Salvator Mundi, Workahead each way.

Race: Arkle Chase

DJ: Majborough is a big, strong, imposing horse. He’s a NAP for me.

MS: Majborough is a beast, and his head and shoulders above the field.

Tips: Majborough, L’Eau du Sud each-way.

Race: Mares Hurdle

Tips: Queens Gamble e/w, Lossiemouth, Jade De Grugy.

Race: Champion Hurdle

Tips: Constitution Hill, Brighterdaysahead, Winter Fog might place.

Tips: Ballyburn, Stellar Story each way, Quai de Bourbon.

Race: Coral Cup Hurdle

Tips: Jimmy Du Seuil each way.

Race: Champion Chase

DJ: This is Jonbon’s race to lose - he’s the best horse in the race but he is soft so there’s a chance. Marie Nationale will be ready to pounce on any opening - and Matata could place.

Tips: Marie Nationale each way, Libberty Hunter each way, Matata each way.

Race: Champion Bumper

DJ: Every week, Copacabana gets better and better.

Tips: Copacabana, Kalypsochance, Green Splendour each way.
