F1 Academy news: Tina Hausmann stays with Aston Martin for the 2025 season

Aston Martin and PREMA Racing have announced their continued partnership with Tina Hausmann into the 2025 F1 Academy season.

She becomes the thirteenth confirmed driver set to compete in the Formula 1-backed feeder series for the 2025 season.

Building on experience

2024 was the Swiss driver’s second year in single-seater racing, and her first in F1 Academy.

Hausmann finished the 2024 F1 Academy season on a high, achieving her season's best result - a P4 in the final race in Abu Dhabi.

The result assured her a top-10 finish in the overall standings.

Hausmann’s performances steadily improved as the season went on, and she will be looking to build upon that experience as she embarks on her final season in the feeder series.

Long term commitment

Much like the great news from Ferrari, PUMA and Mercedes choosing to continue with Maya Weug, Aurelia Nobels, and Doriane Pin, it is positive to see yet another young female driver receive long-term backing from the brands and teams that had initially taken them on.

Naturally, Hausmann shares the same delight:

“Competing in the 2024 F1 Academy season for Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team with PREMA Racing gave me countless unforgettable moments

“Driving on seven iconic tracks worldwide felt like a dream come true. The steep learning curve led to a strong finish in the final race. Aston Martin Aramco supported me like a true family throughout the journey.

“Racing for a second year with Aston Martin Aramco and PREMA Racing means a lot to me. Both teams are committed to excellence, and I am grateful to everyone who made this possible.

The support from fans worldwide has given me the energy to push forward. As a determined driver, I am committed to continuous improvement and growth.

“Representing Aston Martin Aramco and PREMA is a huge honour. Competing on this global stage puts athletes and individuals in the spotlight, but I feel fully supported in all situations by both teams.

“Everyone involved works tirelessly to perform at the highest level.”

The third edition

The third season of F1 Academy will kick off in China when the five lights go out on Sunday, March 22.

Saudi Arabia will follow, before the grid travel to Miami, Canada, the Netherlands, and Singapore. The season will end on a high under the lights in Las Vegas come November.

Hausmann joins Chloe Chambers (Red Bull Ford), Ella Lloyd (McLaren), Rafaela Ferreira (RB), Courtney Crone (Haas), Alba Hurup Larsen (Tommy Hilfiger), Nina Gademan (Alpine), Lia Block (Williams), Alisha Palmowski (Red Bull), Emma Felbermayr (Kick Sauber), Aurelia Nobels (Puma), and Maya Weug (Ferrari) in what will be an exciting season.

Five drivers are yet to be confirmed for the 2025 grid.
