NFL betting tips: Washington Commanders to edge Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills to oust Kansas City Chiefs

It is conference championship time in the NFL as the four best teams from the NFC and AFC lock horns on Sunday in two Super Bowl deciders.

After a dazzling performance against the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs will look to go one step further and make it three consecutive Super Bowl finals.

Elsewhere, the Buffalo Bills scraped a close win over the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium in a game which really could have gone either way.

Sports News Blitz writer Sam Condy has scoured the Sky Bet markets and picked out the best bets ahead of the weekend’s action.

Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles

In the first of the conference championships, the Commanders are set to clash with the Eagles.

The Eagles will rely on red-hot running back Saquon Barkley to pull out another masterclass performance.

In contrast, the Commanders will have to find a way to contain the Eagles' primary threat. If Barkley is allowed to run unchallenged, the Washington side could be in for a long night at the office.

The Eagles are fairly one-dimensional and will once again commit fully to running plays over passing.

If the Washington outfit are able to take advantage of a lack of aerial threat, then they may be able to contain what has been a very dangerous Philly offence.

The Commanders have also proven to be an offensive powerhouse this season. Jayden Daniels has shown his class through the play-offs, with a versatile passing game opening up new weapons for the Commanders.

Daniel's ability to spread the ball all over the field will prove tricky to contain. The Eagles have a solid defence, but the Commanders' versatility will allow them to find chinks in their opponent’s armour.

This should be a ‘heavy-metal’ game of football. Both teams will look to torch the opposing backline and the score could quickly skyrocket. However, it is a game where I think the Commanders have a slight edge.

Suggested bet: Washington Commanders @ 9/4

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

Can the Bills be the team to finally end the Chiefs' reign of terror in the NFL?

The Bills’ pass rush could prove problematic for Kansas. The Chiefs have not committed a turnover in their last eight but have been hit or miss offensively. Some added pressure from the Bills could lead to mistakes from Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen and running back James Cook have forged an incredible partnership on offence. The pair have been almost single-handedly bulldozing teams all season.

In their previous meeting, the Chiefs managed to contain Cook, but it is not as if the running back is Allen’s only option. The Bills have a versatile offence with Allen able to spray the ball all over the field.

It is a tough game to call as you can never count the Chiefs out, but I think the Buffalo side may just be too much to handle on Sunday.

Suggested bet: Buffalo Bills (+1.5) @ ⅚
