Real Madrid news: Kylian Mbappe joins newly-crowned kings of Europe
France striker Kylian Mbappe admits he has joined ‘the club of my dreams’ after securing a move to European champions Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti’s LaLiga champions also became kings of Europe at Wembley on Saturday night after beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final.
And the celebrations for Madrid fans continued on Monday when the Spanish giants announced the capture of Mbappe on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain having scored 256 goals in 308 appearances for the Parisian club, and has signed a five-year contract with Madrid, reportedly worth 15million Euros.
It has also been reported that Mbappe will receive a signing-on bonus of £85milllion which will be spread out in instalments during his time at the Bernabeu.
The France captain and 2018 World Cup winner admits the move to Madrid is a ‘dream come true’, and added in a social media post: “So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams, Real Madrid.
"Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can't wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!"

Early Career and AS Monaco
Mbappe kicked off his football journey at AS Bondy, where his dad was the coach. A father-son duo so dynamic, they probably caused a few PowerPoint presentations at opponents' tactical meetings.
After dazzling everyone at the Clairefontaine academy (a Hogwarts for French football wizards), he joined AS Monaco in 2013.
He made his professional debut for Monaco in December 2015 at the tender age of 16, making everyone wonder what they were doing at 16 besides failing math tests.

At PSG, Mbappe joined forces with Neymar and Cavani (and later Lionel Messi), creating an attack trio so deadly that defenders probably considered switching careers.
He won multiple Ligue 1 titles, domestic cups, and helped PSG reach the Champions League final in 2020, although they were thwarted by Bayern Munich.
International Career
Mbappe made his debut for the French national team in March 2017, making his country proud and his opponents terrified.
At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he played a starring role in France’s triumph, scoring four goals, including one in the final against Croatia.
His performances earned him the Best Young Player award and probably a few marriage proposals.
