Golf betting tips: Collin Morikawa is a top pick for the RBC Heritage

The PGA Tour heads to South Carolina as a stacked field takes on the RBC Heritage.

What a week it’s been for golf fans. The Masters certainly lived up to expectations, and Rory McIlroy finally broke his Major duck, winning his fifth Major and becoming just the sixth man to complete the career grand slam.

Our tip, Ludvig Aberg, had a standout showing and was in serious contention until a late stumble, carding four-over par on the final two holes.

The PGA Tour heads to Harbour Town Golf Links for this week’s signature event, the RBC Heritage.

Tight, tree-lined fairways mean finesse beats force, and with some of the most treacherously defended greens on tour, strong approach play is a must.

Additionally, those who find form with the flat stick often have a good week here, so players who combine sharp approach play with a hot putter tend to thrive.

Here, Sports News Blitz’s betting tipster, Sam Condy, has eyed some of the best contenders ahead of the PGA Tour weekend in South Carolina.

Collin Morikawa

Arguably the best approach player on tour, Morikawa has had a fantastic season, and a win has to be knocking at his door.

Ranking first in SG: Approach to Green and hitting over 70% GIR, Harbour Links is tailored to the world number four.

He's not been bad with the putter either, ranking above average in every key on-the-green metric.

Strong winds are expected this weekend, so hedging your bets with one of the world's best could be a safe play.

Best odds: 10/1 (6EW, 1/5) with William Hill

Tom Hoge

If driving distance is of little importance, a long shot on Tom Hoge is always enticing.

Extremely short off the tee, iron play is where the American shines. Hoge ranks 12th in Strokes Gained: Approach to green, whilst sitting 40th in birdie average.

He’s on a tantalising run of form at present, finishing T14 at Augusta National last weekend and also picking up top-five finishes at both The Players and the Valero Texas Open.

Best odds: 66/1 (10EW, 1/5) with Paddy Power

J.T. Poston

Poston loves Harbour Town, carding four top-eight finishes in just six starts here.

Having not missed a cut in 15 starts, he is on a rock-steady streak and making the weekend look close to guaranteed.

Poston is a player who only enters the betting landscape on a few courses each season, and this Pete Dye masterpiece is one of them.

Best odds: 50/1 (10EW, 1/5) with Paddy Power

Patrick Cantlay

Cantlay is another course specialist who has to be in consideration for a win in South Carolina.

The 33-year-old has not finished outwith the top five over the last three years and has been on a fiery run of form as of late, with two top-five finishes through 2025.

Cantlay is accurate on approach, but his course history trumps any of the key metrics ahead of RBC.

Best odds: 16/1 (10EW, 1/5) with Ladbrokes
