iHeart Women’s Sports Audio Network to introduce eight new shows in 2025

With women’s sport receiving increasing recognition from audiences and sponsors alike, iHeart Women’s Sports Audio Network is expanding its content to introduce eight new shows in 2025.

New podcasts are set to feature renowned athletes such as Katherine Legge, Ashlyn Harris, Mel Reid, and Lexie Brown.

The expansion announcement comes as no surprise after women’s sport experienced massive growth and unprecedented revenues last year.

Network set to expand due to audience interest

iHeart Women’s Sports Audio Network is a podcast platform created by iHeartMedia and Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment.

Following its launch last June, the network saw big gains in listenership and calls for a greater variety of subject matter.

That demand has now prompted a planned expansion of the platform’s content throughout 2025.

“We launched iHeart Women’s Sports last year to provide the type of women’s sports coverage that fans have long been wanting,” said Jessie Katz, head of iHeart Women’s Sports.

“The latest programming further builds on the media industry’s most consistent, authentic network for news and commentary about women’s sports, and we’re proud to continue to be a leader in women’s sports content, elevating the invaluable voices of women athletes and sports fans through our platform.”

Throttle Therapy with Katherine Legge

One new show, to be called Throttle Therapy, will revolve around motorsport pioneer Katherine Legge.

In particular, it will follow the Briton as she gears up to make history this racing season by competing in some of the world’s toughest events.

The podcast will feature inside stories with motorsport legends and rookies as well as conversations with people who have supported Legge’s auto racing career.

“It’s been a remarkable year for women’s sports, and I’m thrilled to officially join the iHeart Women’s Sports roster for 2025 with my first-ever podcast,” Legge said.

“I can’t wait to further that interest and momentum with my show on a platform that celebrates the diverse and authentic voices of women’s sports.”
